Day 1 *


Day 01 (14May)  Depart from Sydney

Fly with Air China from Sydney  on CA174  (1940/0530+1) to Beijing. Please make sure that you are at the Sydney International Airport 3 hours prior departure.

Day 2 *


Day 02 (15May)  Beijing (B)

Arrive into Beijing in the early morning. meet our CTS guide and transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast. Then we will take a tour to the Temple of Heaven. The 500 year old Temple houses altars on which sacrifices and offerings were laid to the gods in a glorious setting of gardens, trees and sculptures. Transfer back to your hotel.

Afternoon at leisure.

Day 03 (16 May)  Beijing/Moscow


Check out after breakfast and head to airport for your flight to Moscow on CA909  (1345/1655). Upon arrival transfer to the hotel.

Day 04  (17 May)  Moscow (B/L)

In order to Avoid the Moscow’s and St Petersburg’s notorious traffic jams in the city center, we will use the metro to travel around the city for sightseeing. After breakfast we will take a Classic City of Moscow tour. It is a good chance to get acquainted with the largest city in Russia. During the city tour you will see all the major sights including the Red Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Novodevichiy Convent, Poklonnaya and Vorobievy Mountains, Tverskaya Street, Bulvarnoye Koltso.After lunch we will visit the Moscow Kremlin open-air museum- reserve. During the guided tour you will have an opportunity to enjoy the historical monuments, such as the Great Kremlin Palace and the Arsenal building, see the trophy weapons of the war of 1812 and admire the cathedrals on the territory of the Kremlin. You will be offered a detailed acquaintance with the beautiful Arkhangelsky, Uspensky and Annunciation cathedrals. Hotel: Azimut Olympic (4*) or similar

Day 5 *


Day 05 (18 May) Moscow (B/L)

In the morning we will visit The State Tretyakov Gallery. It is the largest museum of Russian art in the world. The museum represents the whole history of Russian art from the ancient period until now. Its superb collection consists of numerous icons, paintings, sculptures and graphics. The collection contains more than 130,000 exhibits, ranging from Andrei Rublev’s Trinity to the Black Square by Kazimir Malevich. Afternoon you can explore the city at your own pace.

Day 6 *

St Petersburg

Day 06 (19 May) Moscow-St Petersburg (B/L)

A tour to the Kuskovo , it is often called the Moscow Versailles for its formal French gardens. The history of the estate dates back to 1715, when Russian Tsar Peter the Great presented the Kuskovo village to Boris Sheremetev,  For many years Kuskovo served as the summer residence of the Sheremetev family. The estate comprises the central palace and a number of smaller buildings and architectural constructions dotted throughout an extensive landscape park, which includes formal French gardens, ponds, lakes, as well as Russian and Italian sculptures.The estate also features Italian cottage, which comprises a miniature palace, the Green Theater, the Orangery and the magnificent Ceramics Museum.

After a late lunch, you can do some shopping. We will catch the overnight train (2nd class) to St Petersburg. Hotel:  Overnight Sleeper  on the train

St Petersburg

Day 07 (20 May)  St Petersburg (L)

After an early morning arrival we will take a Classic City Tour of St Petersburg with a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress. St Petersburg was founded in 1703, and has been playing key role in the history of Russia ever since.Our sightseeing tour will acquaint you with the main architectural and historical monuments of St Petersburg. You will take a ride along its main streets enjoying its splendid sights: numerous palaces and cathedrals, rivers and channels, bridges and park. Check into hotel after lunch and the rest of the day is free.

Day 8 *

St Petersburg

Day 08 (21 May) St Petersburg (B/L)

Morning tour to The Hermitage. One of the largest museums in the world, the State Hermitage occupies six magnificent buildings situated along the embankment of the Neva River. It would take 15 years to see all the exhibits treasured in the Hermitage. We suggest you to admire the gems of the collection. On display there are works by such great masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Michelangelo, Renoir, Picasso and many others. After lunch, we will visit  one of the most picturesque suburbs of St. Petersburg, the town of Pushkin named after a famous Russian poet, also known as Tsarskoye Selo (Tsars’ village literally). The Catherine Park, an inseparable part of the ensemble and a very poetic place, In the midnight we will take a Night boat tour ( 23:30-02:00)

Day 9 *

St Petersburg

Day 09 (22 May) St Petersburg (B/L)

We will visit Peterhof  this morning . It is one of the best known suburbs of St. Petersburg and  used to be the favorite and most beautiful summer residence of the Royal family. During the tour you will visit the Great Palace which is structural center of the Upper Gardens and the Lower Park. You will enjoy its spacious and airy rooms adorned with rich moldings, splendid parquet flooring, exquisite carving, painted ceilings and canvases by great masters.

After lunch, you will have free time to explore the city .

Day 10 (23 May) St Petersburg- Moscow-Beijing

Early morning  Sapsan train to Moscow (2nd class). Upon Arrival to Moscow, transfer direct to the airport for your flight CA910 (1748/0715+1) to Beijing.

Day 11 (24 May) Beijing (B)

Upon arrival morning at 07:15, meet your guide and transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, we will take a tour to the Tian’anmen Square, the biggest public square in the world. You will also be able to have a photo stop at The National Centre for the Performing Arts, formerly known as the National Grand Theatre, and colloquially described as The Egg. Then, visit the Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces, which was home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Included is admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. Afterwards, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 12 *


Day 12(25 May) Beijing/Australia (B/L/D)

Morning tour to the Great Wall at Juyongguan section. Along the way, you will stop over at a jade carving factory where you can watch artisans at work. Then we will continue to the Summer Palace, the largest and the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens. we will have a photo stop by the Olympic Village and see the National Stadium, frequently referred to as the “Bird’s Nest” and the National Swimming Center, better known as the “Water Cube”.

Transfer to the airport for departure via CA173 at 0050 on 26 May.
